Here is a quick post about something I learned in Italy this month. If you want toast in Italy, make sure you order “pane tostato” because if you just tell the waiter that you want “toast”, you will receive a toasted ham and cheese sandwich. In Italy, “toast” means a toasted ham and cheese sandwich. So depending on whether you want the American toast or the Italian toast, now you know how to order.
