Andrea Bocelli in Florida 2014

For an Italian Enthusiast, patriotism is demonstrated by supporting Italian artists, especially when they perform in the United States.
On February 14, 2014, I saw the great Andrea Bocelli perform live at the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Florida. The concert was everything I anticipated it to be, with the tenor’s powerful voice resonating throughout the arena, singing the songs we all love. I particularly enjoyed hearing Bocelli’s version of Nessun Dorma, and observing his emotion at the end when he concluded with Vincerò.
Most spectacular, however, was that through a dear client, I had the opportunity to meet Mr. Bocelli and his wife, Veronica, after the show. I practiced my greeting over and over in my head and as soon as Ms. Bocelli introduced me to the Grand Maestro, I said, “Ciao Signor Bocelli. Sono Antonio Barbuto. Piacere di conoscerLa.”
I pulled it off, and I was pleased. What a fantastic evening and great honor to make his acquaintance.
